SP&S 760 Caboose - 2/11/26 Work Party

The weather was perfect last Wednesday. Not bad for February. We made some good progress. Gene and James finished removing all of the iron work. John installed a block to help support the corner post. The we put in a 2” x 8” to replace the rotted out timber. A 3/4” gap was left to leave room for the 3/4” pressure treated plywood subfloor that we will install next time. he boards are cantilevered out a little more than two feet to support the steel platform. Four boards were installed. Next we need to install blocks between the boards and under the wall. Once the subfloor is in place we will have something solid to attach the south wall to. 

 Progress is going to be weather dependent, next week is looking pretty rainy, but the tarp is keeping the rain out.
